Pre-Launch

Early stage startups usually have a few key members working on the essential functions and need people like Marissa. They’re usually focused on product development and customer development. These companies rely on Spano for go-to-launch strategy, marketing, UI/UX design, basic legal advice (e.g., incorporation, shareholder agreements, and more).

Launch

Startups that have achieved product-market fit and are growing usually look for people who can help with growth - either internal or external. That may include growth hackers, software architects to ensure their platform scales (although this role is usually filled by the CTO or brought in-house very quickly). If the company is selling physical products, it needs to address questions around its supply chain and distribution.

Expansion

A startup that is raising capital will need help with structuring its term sheets and with other legal aspects of the partnership with its investors. Startups applying for government grants often benefit from grant consultants, who can significantly increase the company’s chances of receiving funding.
